Parenthood

There is nothing more rewarding, more beautiful, more amazing, or more fulfilling than being a parent. These last two months have been absolutely fantastic in so many ways. First, the miracle of life is just that, a miracle. When I look at my precious daughter's sweet little fingers or any part of her cute little body, it leaves me speechless thinking about how she grew in my belly. The concept of making her fragile bones and intricate beating heart is nothing short of mind boggling. I love to watch her tummy rise and fall with every breathe as she sleeps. She melts my heart and wraps me around her long skinny pinky finger when she smiles at me. When she stares into my eyes while I feed her as though she is forever grateful to me for all that she has, I feel like the most important person on the planet. I'm letting my secret out of the bag when I say that the way she stops crying for no one else but me when I hold her in my arms makes me want to say "ha ha, she likes me better". The way her adorable little mouth frowns and bottom lip sticks out when she cries even makes me smile, well laugh really, because it's such a cute face. I now believe that there is no greater love than that in which you feel for your own child, your flesh and blood. The best way to explain it all is that being a mother truly is like having your heart walking outside of your body.

In short, I love being a mom.

Some Cute Pictures

Here's a couple pictures from the last week.

We had our friends over for a BBQ the other day and I thought this sight was too cute to pass on getting a picture. Amanda and I were headed out to the store and the guys were left with the babies...

Just hanging out in the backyard...

Sophia's first trip to the boardwalk downtown on the pier...

Here's Grammie trying to be as cute as Sophia...

Sophia just chillin' in Mommy's spot on the bed...

She didn't want me interupting her conversation with Daddy...

Snugglin' and holding hands...how sweet!

Her shirt says it all...

Cousin Zackary giving Sophia a kiss...

Zackary still lovin' on her...

Tummy Time...

Tummy Time is hard work...
And she's done...

Okay, so that was more than a few pictures but I couldn't help but share the cuteness that goes on in our house.

THE END...

Hi!

Hi everyone. I thought I'd start this blog to be able to share new pictures of us and keep you all up to date about the latest in our lives. So here goes...

I've already introduced our sweet little baby girl nearly two months ago already (holy cow, where has the time gone??) but I'm such a proud mommy that I can't help but talk about her constantly and wanted to share some new pictures. To spare you all the cute little stories that she melts our hearts with, I'll just tell you that she is doing great and is so much fun. One of her favorite things right now is the "puff game". Ky started this by blowing a little puff of air at her and her reaction is soooo cute! After a delayed second, she gasps in shock and throws her tiny hands into the air like "oh my goodness, you scared me daddy!" I hope to get it on video to capture the cuteness. She also had us on the floor rolling the other night while she was sleeping. Yes, she even makes us laugh in her sleep. Well, Ky caught her cooing, smiling and GIGGLING in her sleep! Must have been some great dream she was having. It was absolutely adorable!

Here's a few pictures for now...

If you look close, I think the poor girl got my ears. :(
